Newsgetter Selected to “FastPitch” at January Event in Pasadena

NewsgetterNewsgetter, the smartphone newsfeed with real news, has been selected to be part of the TechSparks FastPitch event on January 21, 2015.

Going head-to-head with other ideamongers, each presenter will have 30 seconds to describe the benefits and values of their product.  The event will be held at 99 E. Colorado Blvd, Pasadena (Barney’s Beanery, downstairs) from 6 to 9 pm on Jan 21.

TechSparks events attract investors and entrepreneurs who are interested in sharing and getting feedback on new technology products and services.  The winning pitch will get a private meeting with  Ken Hayes of Pasadena Angels and Canyon Creek Capital.

Newsgetter has been “in the wild” since December 2, 2014, garnering excellent feedback from users.  It scans the world’s top news sites and creates a single newsfeed. Users scan the feed and pick and choose the stories that interest them. Clicking a headline provides a bit more information, often a picture and keywords. Click a link to get right to the full story on the news source’s web site.

Users say that they learn more about what’s going on in the world faster and earlier than ever before.
